Valpo is located only an hour or two from Santiago and is an art lovers heaven, being known world wide for its street art! With incredible views, winding alleyways, never-ending staircases, vibrant colours and an exciting history it will leave you wishing you had allowed more time to spend exploring this unforgettable city.

Learning to Surf in Cornwall at the Home of British Surfing

We woke early to a rather typical British summer's day. The sky was grey and dim and we could hear the wind and rain lashing against the side of our Yurt, where we were Glamping on our recent trip to Cornwall. We both love Cornwall and especially Newquay, and would even go so far as to say it is our favourite place in the UK. We love the relaxed vibe and the gorgeous beaches, but for me there was one thing  was looking forward to most on this trip... our surfing lesson with Newquay Activity Centre.

My Top African Wildlife Experiences

There are many places that I’ve loved during my travels around the world but Africa is the one place that I fell completely and utterly head over heels in love with. Nowhere else on Earth has captured my heart quite like Africa. Aside from the bright jubilant culture, the friendly locals and smiling children, the stunning diverse landscapes from sandy deserts to misty green jungles and vibrant cities, the wildlife is one of the continent’s biggest draws. No matter how many national parks and animal reserves we visited, and no matter how many dusty roads we bumped over on safari, I never got bored of seeing yet another springbok leaping past or another giraffe poking its head out of the leaves of a tree. Every single piece of nature and wildlife was simply awe-inspiring. Despite it being ridiculously hard to narrow it down, these are my top African wildlife experiences.

The Headland Hotel - Our Cornish Sanctuary by the Sea

The Headland Hotel is iconic in Cornwall. A timeless, Victorian hotel that is set upon the cliffside overlooking Fistral Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. In addition to its incredible location, the hotel is luxurious and still retains many of its original features. It is a stylish, elegant hotel that has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere which we immediately fell in love with.

Victoria, British Columbia: for a day or a week

I’m blessed to live in Seattle, Washington. It’s close to the ocean, mountains, countryside and several other metropolitan areas. One of my favorite cities to visit is Victoria, BC. The city touts itself as being more British than Britain. Well, I can’t agree for certain, but it does a fine job of trying. If you’re visiting either Seattle or Vancouver, Victoria is well worth at least one day out of your trip. Here’s why: Beer. No, I’ll save that. Flowers. No, I’ll save that too.

Exploring The Emerald Isle with Sixt Car Hire

We recently visited Ireland, also known as 'The Emerald Isle' and fell in love with this beautiful, green, naturally stunning country. We had decided the best way to see as much of the country was to hire a car and so we opted to hire with Sixt Car Hire and we could not have been more happy with the service, vehicle & overall experience with Sixt.

Our Top 6 Things to do in San Francisco

San Francisco in Northern California is such an incredible place and somewhere I've always wanted to visit. We spent our week here exploring the quirky city of San Fran with its constant fog, extremely hilly landscape, cable cars, beautiful Victorian houses, Alcatraz Prison, iconic Golden Gate Bridge and much more! I've heard over and over again from my fellow Australians that if they had to choose where to live in America it would certainly be San Francisco, and I now understand why.

Horse Riding Through Cowboy Country in Tupiza, Bolivia

Whilst travelling around South America, Dan and his friend Kevin spent a few days in Tupiza, the 'Wild West' of Bolivia. Tupiza is a relaxed town surrounded by rugged scenery and the perfect place to live out your cowboy dreams like Butch Cassidy & the Sundance kid did over 100 years ago. With no horse riding experience at all, they set off on a two day cowboy adventure through some of the most dramatic scenery you can imagine.

Biking San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge

San Francisco in Northern California is such an incredible place and somewhere I've always wanted to visit. After visiting LA & Las Vegas we spent a week in San Fran prior to leaving for our Summer Camps where we spent a summer working as Camp Counsellors. We spent our week exploring the quirky city of San Fran with its constant fog, extremely hilly landscape, cable cars, beautiful Victorian houses, Alcatraz and the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. We decided the best way to see the city and take it all in was to hire bikes, cycle around the city & over the Golden Gate Bridge.

10 Reasons to go on Honeymoon to French Polynesia

I'm sure I'm not the only person who has seen the beautiful overwater villas characteristic of the Maldives and Bora Bora and dreamed of the perfect romantic holiday to that idyllic location. So last year, when I married the man of my dreams, my Mr Silver, I knew exactly where I wanted to go: the far off land of Bora Bora. Living in the UK, French Polynesia really is a long distance but I was keen to take that flight over to the USA, catch another flight from LA to Tahiti, then another to Bora Bora. But it didn't end there... there was also a half an hour boat transfer when we finally arrived on that glittering island! So why did I decide to make that epic journey to French Polynesia? Here's ten reasons.

Glamping in Cornwall with Country View Cottages & Yurts

Last weekend we had our first ever Glamping experience in Cornwall with Country View Cottages & Yurts at Carnebo Holiday Barns. Their Yurt's are new this season and we stayed in the 'Poppy' Yurt and it was such an incredible experience that I would recommend to anyone visiting Cornwall. The location was perfect, being only a ten minute drive to the beautiful Cornwall beaches and gave us the perfect opportunity to enjoy nature and the beautiful environment whilst also being able to retreat to our perfect, comfortable and luxurious Yurt of an evening.
