Visiting Los Angeles soon? Don’t leave forget to pay the beautiful beachside town of Santa Monica a visit.
I’d recommend making the most of this beautiful beachfront city in
California, opting for this option over staying in popular Hollywood.
Hollywood definently has its attractions, such as the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre, Madame Tussauds, Dolby Theatre & the Hollywood
Sign. However it is super easy to get here from Santa Monica or any of
the other nearby coastal towns.
Santa Monica has countless dining options, nightlife & drinking choices
and accommodation for all budgets. Make sure you also leave a bit of
time to check out the famous, bustling Santa Monica Pier.
There is something for everyone at Santa Monica. Check out the bronzed bodies working out along the beachfront, hire bicycles and cruise up and down the coastline or simply enjoy your time swimming, relaxing or strolling along the beach. If you enjoy surfing, grab your board and ride Santa Monica’s famous waves.
If you have extra time, take advantage of the close proximity to other
iconic locations such as Malibu, Venice Beach, Beverly Hills and Marina
del Ray.
We were at Santa Monica on Memorial Day, a day where Americans remember the men & women who have died whilst serving in the US Armed Forces. It was a solemn cultural experience to witness the thousands of crosses and coffins placed alongside the pier on the beach.
I highly recommend staying at Santa Monica when visiting Los Angeles!
