It was a lovely sunny winter day when one of my best friends from Australia came to visit and so we headed down south to the coast to visit Brighton. Wandering around The Lanes we stumbled upon the gorgeous Bohemia Brighton and couldn’t help but stop in for brekkie.
Bohemia, located perfectly between the seafront and in the heart of The Lanes is a restaurant, cafe, bar & lounge! Upon venturing inside we were delighted by the decor and design, unique and cosy – yet spaciously arranged over three floors.
Greeted by two friendly waiters we were whisked upstairs to the ‘library’ area and given the best table in the house next to the window and seated in beautiful, comfortable leather armchairs. Our lovely waiters promptly brought us tea and a perfect barista style coffee. Being quite the coffee connoisseur, Liz was very pleased.
With a mouth-wateringly good menu it wasn’t an easy choice but we opted for Eggs Benedict with bacon and Eggs Royale with smoked salmon which arrived in impressive time, were cooked to perfection and were beautifully presented. The ingredients were fresh and sourced locally as we were told by our chatty but professional waiter. Fresh, locally sourced ingredients are always something I look for when dining and I was very pleased with the quality of the foods we were served.
Despite it being sunny for our visit, it was still quite chilly – but there are lovely tables and chairs out the front of the venue along on the beautiful cobbled street. (They also have free Wi-Fi which is a plus for travellers out there!)
I would recommend Bohemia to anyone visiting Brighton and cannot wait to go back to try their long list of delicious looking cocktails or even to try my hand at their Cocktail Master Class!
