We recently visited Ireland, also known as ‘The Emerald Isle’ and fell in love with this beautiful, green, naturally stunning country. We had decided the best way to see as much of the country was to hire a car and so we opted to hire with Sixt Car Hire and we could not have been more happy with the service, vehicle & overall experience with Sixt.
We arrived into Dublin Airport and quickly found the Sixt desk inside the airport where the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. After we had sorted out all the paperwork the four of us jumped in the Sixt shuttle bus which took us a few minutes away to the Sixt car depot where we picked up our car!
In less than an hour and after landing we were driving out of the airport! We couldn’t have been more impressed with the quality and efficiency of the customer service which we received from Sixt both at the airport desk & at the depot.
We had requested a car that would comfortably fit 4 adults and were provided with a Toyota Corolla and when we arrived were very happy to find we had been given a brand new vehicle! The car was in perfect condition both inside and out, spotlessly clean and was impeccable to drive. It was the best car I’ve ever driven and a pleasure to explore the country in absolute comfort, reliability and luxury.
As soon as we landed in Dublin we headed straight over to the untamed West Coast & began exploring this invigorating, naturally stunning part of the world! We then spent the next few days exploring Galway, the Wild Atlantic Way, Cliffs of Moher and just enjoying driving through this stunning of this part admiring the scenery.

I can’t more highly recommend hiring a car to travel around Ireland. We all loved the fact that we could work on our own schedule as there are so many gorgeous stops around the West Coast (and whole country) and with the freedom and flexibility of our own car we could stop whenever and wherever we wanted.
