We love staying in Apartments when we travel. We love the independence, privacy and freedom they allow and the apartments in the Q1 Resort & Spa at the Gold Coast are no exception. We stayed in a stunning One Bedroom Ocean View Spa Apartment and were very impressed with our spacious and luxurious apartment with its stunning city and ocean views.
The iconic Q1 Skyscraper is located in the heart of Surfers Paradise and is only a two minute walk from the beautiful beaches of the Gold Coast. The resort is set among beautifully landscaped grounds and provides state of the art facilities to ensure the ultimate in luxury and relaxation for those who wisely choose to stay there.
The Q1 offers luxurious apartments ranging from one to four bedrooms in size. We booked into one of their One Bedroom Spa Apartments with an ocean view. We were on the 32nd floor and our apartment boasted stunning views over Surfers Paradise and the beach. We were blown away when we stepped through the front door with the size of our very spacious and luxurious apartment. The apartment is over 85 square metres in size and has a large lounge room with flat screen TV, comfortable lounges and stunning views. The apartment also has black out blinds which you will appreciate with the very early morning sunshine!
The apartment was absolutely spotlessly clean and the kitchen contains everything you could possibly need to whip up a masterchef worthy meal. The kitchens are equipped with a large fridge/freezer, oven, stovetop, microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, washing machine and more than enough utensils, crockery, cutlery and pots and pans. There is also a glass dining table with seating for four people.
We loved that the apartment had the option to be completely open plan living or for each room to be closed off if required for privacy. The bedroom was comfortable and luxurious. We loved the colours and decor featured through the apartment, the range of blues and greens made it feel very beachy themed which suited the location perfectly! The bedroom also had a walk through robe into the bathroom with plenty of storage space and a flat screen TV. The apartment also has air conditioning and whilst we did not need it throughout our stay, it would be well used in the hot summer months.
We LOVED the bathroom in our apartment. It was spacious and spotlessly clean with luxurious toiletries and soft, fluffy towels provided. The bathroom has a shower and a large spa bath with ensures the ultimate in luxury and relaxation during your stay. The spa bath was fantastic and truly added that extra element of luxury to the apartment.
Each apartment in the Q1 features a glass-enclosed balcony which boasts stunning views over Surfers Paradise and the beach.
The only small downside of the Q1 Apartments that we found was that Wi-Fi and internet access is not included. If you wish to be connected you need to pay and the rates are quite steep, and I do think for luxury hotels and apartments that free internet access should be included.
In addition to all the facilities in your apartment the Q1 has some of the top recreational, dining and retail services in Surfers Paradise. There is a 24 hour reception desk, tour desk, complimentary secure car parking and discounts in the SkyPoint Cafe. The Q1 also has two large outdoor lagoon pools surrounded by beautiful landscaping, an indoor heated lap pool and spa, a day spa, gym, sauna and poolside BBQ facilities. The grounds of the Q1 are lovely to walk around and we spent a few hours relaxing by the pool in the sunshine.
We had a lovely time throughout our stay at the Q1 and will certainly stay with them again on future trips to the Gold Coast. Our apartment was spacious, stylish and comfortable, along with providing everything we could have wanted or needed. We would recommend them to anyone visiting the Gold Coast and looking for a serviced apartment with amazing views!
