2015 has been a big year for our blog! We’ve seen huge growth in terms of followers, traffic and social media fans! We now have over 25,000 followers and The Aussie Flashpacker has almost reached 500,000 views! We’ve had some amazing adventures and travels which you may have read about in our Top 10 Travel Experiences of 2015 and we’ve loved sharing them with you all! We’ve got huge plans so far for 2016 which include an overland trip from Portugal to Turkey and we’re moving to Australia. We can’t wait to share all our experiences with you on the blog! “It was at the end of our two week holiday in Italy that we spent several nights on Ischia Island. Lesser known then the famous Capri, we didn’t really know what to expect, but from the second we caught a glimpse of the charming, stunning island of Ischia – we knew we’d chosen the perfect destination to spend our last few days relaxing in the late summer sunshine. “The Napa Valley is a famous wine producing region just north of San Francisco set amongst hundreds of wineries and beautiful, rolling hills and countryside. We took a day tour from San Fran and spent a day exploring the beautiful region, its wineries and lovely Sonoma.”

5. Jungfraujoch: A Journey to the Top of Europe
“One of the highlights of our trip to Switzerland was visiting the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe! We took an incredible train journey from Grindelwald all the way to the highest railway station in Europe which is located 3,454 metres above sea level! It was a beautiful, scenic train ride and an incredible experience to be standing at the Top of Europe! It was a wonderful experience and despite not having great visibility at the top due to the weather we still had an amazing day out!”

“Anyone who has met an Aussie abroad will know that we LOVE our country and well, love to talk about how much we love it. I do (like most) think we are the luckiest country in the world and as much as I love travelling, the more I travel, the more I realise this is true. As most of you know, I moved to the UK almost 18 months ago and as much as I love our life in the UK, there’s a lot of things I seriously miss about Australia.
