Rome Luxury Suites are a collection of three luxury, boutique hotels located in Rome’s historic centre, within minutes of its most popular sites and attractions. During our visit to Rome in 2014 we stayed at Margutta 54 and had the most incredible stay in their stunning collection of converted artist studios. On this visit to Rome we booked our stay at another of Rome Luxury Suites’ boutique hotels which was Babuino 181 and we had a fantastic stay in our luxurious Italian home away from home!
Babuino 181 is a gorgeous boutique hotel with 24 rooms and suites in a perfect location in Rome on the iconic Via Babuino which runs between Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps. Babuino 181 is located between many of Rome’s top fashion designer and luxury shops. Babuino 181 is a gorgeous elegant boutique hotel which offers its guests comfort, relaxation, elegance and luxury. Everything you could possibly want or need is provided for you including spacious marble bathrooms, a gorgeous rooftop terrace and bar, Frette sheets and a wonderful, personalised service. The staff were absolutely fantastic and very friendly and attentive throughout our entire stay.
We were staying in a Double Superior Room which was situated across the road from Babuino 181 in their new wing! Our room was spacious, elegant, warmly furnished and wonderfully comfortable, relaxing and quiet. We never once heard any noise from neighbours or even any noise on the busy streets below. The beautiful decor consisted of warm wood, plush bedding, big windows with warmly coloured curtains and a king sized bed with Frette sheets and a silk-filled Bianco Seta duvet cover. Our intimate room was a wonderful, relaxing oasis to return to after a busy day filled with sightseeing! In addition our room also had all the modern amenities including air conditioning, free wireless internet. a flat screen TV, Nespresso machine and minibar.
We loved our marble, mosaiced bathroom that had a beautiful big bath and excellent shower. The toiletries were very indulgent and we loved the luxurious Frette bathrobes and towels.
Babuino 181 has a gorgeous rooftop terrace overlooking the rooftops of Rome and it is a beautiful terrace complete with a full cocktail bar. We had our welcome drink at the bar and it was a wonderful experience to enjoy the light breeze and late sunset. The terrace can also be used all year round as it is glassed in and roofed in to allow for the perfect temperature but when the weather is beautiful and the temperature right the roof can also be unrolled to enjoy the lounge in the perfect temperature and fresh air! It is a beautiful, spacious and relaxing terrace which can be enjoyed both day and night.
Breakfast at the hotel is also served on the rooftop terrace and there is a well stocked buffet with a great variety of foods on offer including homemade pastries, local cheeses and meats, fresh fruit, cereal, eggs, bacon, yoghurt, fresh juices and tea and coffee. It is the perfect place to begin your morning in a relaxed fashion on the beautiful terrace, relishing the very best that the Roman lifestyle has to offer!
Babuino 181 is ideally located in one of the most sought after areas of Rome on Via del Babuino and is surrounded by many of the most luxurious shopping streets in Rome. It is also within walking distance to Rome’s best attractions including the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Piazza del Popolo, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Villa Borghese, the Colloseum and the Vatican and St Peter’s Basilica. The location could not have been any more ideal and it was the perfect luxurious base to explore all Rome has to offer!
We had a wonderful, relaxing stay with Rome Luxury Suites at Babuino 181 during our time in Rome. Rome Luxury Suites truly offer some of the most authentic and luxurious accommodation in the most sought after areas of Rome. We’ve now had two incredible experiences with Rome Luxury Suites at both Babuino 181 and Margutta 54 and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone visiting Rome, we’ll certainly stay there again on a future trip!
