We fell in love with enchanting Positano when we visited back in 2014 and were ecstatic to return! As our time on the coast was limited we only booked a one night stay at Villa Mary Suites in Positano but from the moment we arrived we wished we had booked a whole week! Villa Mary Suites has a very exclusive location in the heart of Positano’s historical centre and boasts the most breathtaking panoramic views of the entire Positano bay all the way to the sea. Our room was elegant and romantic and we loved relaxing on our private terrace, completely captivated by the incredible views!
Villa Mary Suites are located in the heart of the historical centre of Positano in a recently renovated 19th century Mediterranean residence. The location is ideal being within walking distance of the beach and town (there are a lot of steps involved but that is just the Amalfi Coast for you) but also rewarding you with privacy, relaxation and unbeatable views of the entire Positano region. We had no problems finding Villa Mary Suites and were warmly welcomed when we arrived and luckily were able to check into our beautiful room early! We were speechless from the moment we walked through the elegant villa to the panoramic terrace where we had our first views of this magical destination.
Villa Mary Suites is comprised of beautiful, recently remodeled and renovated double rooms that have been furnished and decorated to the highest level. We absolutely loved our room the moment we stepped through the door. Our room oozed elegance and romance and it was evident that no detail had been overlooked when the rooms were renovated and styled.
Our beautiful room was spacious and had wonderful amounts of natural light from the french doors which led out onto our private terrace. We loved the high ceilings, crisp, white decor and elegant furniture. Our bed was divinely comfortable and we slept wonderfully on the high quality, soft linens. In addition we had a TV, free high speed wireless internet, air conditioning and a mini-bar. Everything we could have possibly wanted or needed was provided for us to ensure that we had the most romantic stay in our gorgeous, elegant room in magical Positano.
Our bathroom was modern, spotlessly clean and Villa Mary’s own luxury toiletries as well as soft towels and bathrobes were provided. The shower had excellent water pressure and was wonderfully hot!
Every room at Villa Mary has its own private terrace and we were blown away by how breathtakingly beautiful the views from our terrace were! Our views stretched from the majestic cliffs above Positano all the way past the beautiful pastel coloured houses to the bay of Positano and the sea. It is a view that would be tough to ever be beaten! Our terrace also had a beautiful table and chairs as well as washing line to hang any beach towels or swimmers after a day at the beach!
Breakfast is served on your private terrace between 8am and 10am, at a pre-arranged time that suits you! We had a wonderful continental breakfast with a selection of freshly baked pastries and rolls, biscuits with jam and nutella, cold meats and cheeses, salad, eggs, freshly squeezed juice and tea and coffee. It was a lovely experience to have a romantic breakfast on our own terrace whilst we admired the incredible views!
The service we received throughout our stay from when we first booked through to when we arrived and when we sadly departed was top notch. Tiziana, the owner of Villa Mary Suites was very warm, welcoming and helpful and her lovely staff couldn’t have been anymore friendly or attentive throughout our stay. We also received a lovely welcome from Dylan dog, a beautiful black labrador who is a favourite among guests to Villa Mary.
We had such a beautiful stay at Villa Mary Suites in Positano. Villa Mary Suites are the perfect place for a romantic, luxurious and relaxing getaway to beautiful Positano. The views from the hotel and from our private terrace were breathtaking, our room was luxurious and comfortable and staff couldn’t have been anymore helpful or friendly. If you’re looking for an amazing place to stay in Positano, don’t look past Villa Mary Suites, we cannot wait to return one day! Our stay was truly magical and one we haven’t stopped talking about since we left!
