After an amazing 24 hours in Venice we were finally heading to a new country after three weeks in Italy! Slovenia was our next port of call and we have an amazing week lined up full of adventures in the Green Capital of Europe! We’ll be visiting Ljubljana and Lake Bled during our time in Slovenia and as much as we’d love to spend more than a week we’ve got a fairly jam packed schedule and can’t wait to see and do as much as possible while we are here. Having travelled across six continents for more than a decade we’d like to think we’re fairly good with transport and logistics but when it came to working out how we would get from Venice to Ljubljana it was giving us a bit of a headache until we found GoOpti!
Now I’m sure many people have travelled from Venice to Ljubljana with no problems using public transport but as our schedule is pretty tight we didn’t want to have to make a lot of changes and leave it to chance. GoOpti was not just the easiest option is was also the cheapest and our transfer could not have been any easier or simpler which was great as we’ve had some nightmares on public transport in the past.
We booked our transfer a week before and I believe the further in advance you book the cheaper your transfer is! We booked our pick up and drop off times within a 2-3 hour time period and 24 hours before our transfer we were sent an email with the details of our driver, the car, a contact phone number as well as our exact pick up time and location. Our driver arrived right on time in Venice and as we’d booked a shared transfer we then headed to Venice Airport where we picked up another group of people before heading to Ljubljana.
The transfer was quick, relaxing and we arrived in Ljubljana within 3 hours of being picked up in Venice. We hope this article will help anyone who is having trouble working out their transport options from Venice to Ljubljana (or vice versa) as we had such a great experience with them. GoOpti operate throughout a lot of Europe from Milan to Munich to Budapest and Zagreb and we had such a great experience that we’ve also booked our transfer from Lake Bled to Zagreb in a few days with them as well.
If you’re looking to book a transfer in this part of Europe then head over to their website to quickly check details, prices and to book instantly!
