Glamping, which is also known as luxury or glamorous camping is that perfect getaway you need in your life! There’s countless types of glamping from treehouses, to secluded cabins, safari tents with jacuzzis and more! Glamping gives you the opportunity to relax in unique, comfortable, luxurious accommodation completely surrounded by nature! It is a way to connect with nature without having to “rough it”, which certainly appeals to a lot of people. We love glamping and have been lucky enough to experience glamping in Sri Lanka, Cornwall and Slovenia.
Our friends at Glamping Hub are celebrating because they have reached a milestone of 22,000 accommodations on their site in the three years since launching! We had such a good experience during our glamping experience in Slovenia that they’ve asked us to share some of the most amazing glamping accommodations in Slovenia with you! Slovenia was one of our favourite countries in Europe and one we’d love to return to during winter when it is a winter wonderland, and of course glamp again in one of these wonderful accommodation options.
1. SECLUDED GLAMPING TENTS IN BLED
We personally experienced this gorgeous glamping accommodation in Bled, Slovenia during our visit there a few years ago. These glamping tents are private and luxurious. We particularly loved the outdoor heated hot tub and the private seating overlooking the river below. The tents have two bedrooms and sleep four people as well as a bathroom, TV and minibar! We also loved the unique restaurant which had a stream flowing through it and herbs which you can pick yourselves! The included breakfast was also one of the best we had in Europe! The property prides itself in its eco-sustainability and we enjoyed the proximity to the lake, the infinity swimming pond and open fireplace which was lit every evening.
2. BREATHTAKING LUXURY TREE HOUSE NEAR LAKE BLED
These luxury tree house rentals near Lake Bled are truly divine with each tree house comfortably accommodating four people. On the terrace of each tree house, there is a table and chairs and a wooden hot tub with a lid. Although each tree house is private, there are some communal areas in which glampers can enjoy and share, such as a fireplace, a sauna and plenty of space to relax. These tree houses are the ultimate outdoor glamping experience as they also have cable TV and Wi-Fi. They are also fitted with infrared heating panels and both indoor and outdoor lightning.
3. CHARMING TENTED CABINS ON LUXURY RESORT IN LJUBNO OB SAVINJI
This glamping site in Slovenia is located in Ljubno ob Savinji, which is a town beside the Savinja River. This luxury camping resort has stunning architecture and is tucked away in the natural environment of this region, offering guests a tranquil place to unwind. Guests will take in the rejuvenating smell of fresh herbs from the privacy of their luxury tents and the beautiful mountains of Ljubno are great for hiking. The tented cabins are luxurious and private and can sleep up to six guests. To top off the luxurious experience, each tent has a private outdoor jacuzzi! The resort also has a fantastic biological swimming pool, a fire pit for large bonfires and two saunas on site.
4. LUXURY BARN-ESQUE CABIN NEAR LJUBLJANA
This truly original luxury cabin near Ljubljana, features glass walls, bringing guests even closer to the surrounding beautiful Logar Valley. The valley forms part of the Kamnik Alps, a breathtaking mountain range carved out by the Savinja River. This glacial landscape is peppered with glittering lakes, inviting pine forests, and snow-capped mountain peaks. The accommodation is stylishly designed and equipped with a private Jacuzzi in a “meditation nest,” and a fully furnished bathroom. Glampers can enjoy a night tucked away in their very own raised sleeping area, and help themselves to the mini-bar stocked with natural juice and local wines. After a dip in the Jacuzzi, guests can relax in the luxury bathrobes provided, and enjoy stunning views of the river Savinja and the wild and rocky Breznica ridge.
5. LUXURY SAFARI TENTS SET IN THE GROUNDS OF A VINEYARD NEAR MARIBOR
These magnificent luxury safari tents are set on a private 15-acre vineyard in Slovenia, offering an escape near Maribor with impeccable views of the surrounding landscape. Guests will arrive to cozy interiors and elegant decor, which create an inviting ambiance allowing guests to truly feel at home during their stay. Between two queen-size beds, these tents can comfortably accommodate up to four guests each and there is a terrace with a wonderful view and a private Jacuzzi.
6. MAGICAL TREE HOUSE IN PICTURESQUE MARIBOR
Located near Maribor, Slovenia, in the same vineyards as the above safari tents, this tent-shaped tree house rental truly creates a fairytale ambiance. Set on a vineyard and nestled in a tree top, this accommodation is enveloped by nature and can fit up to four guests. Also included is a terrace with a private Jacuzzi, where guests can enjoy the wonderful view whilst they sample local wines!
7. GORGEOUS SEA-INSPIRED SUITE IN EASTERN SLOVENIA
This property is located in the village of Podčetrtek in eastern Slovenia—a naturally beautiful part of the country with both countryside and mountainscapes for glampers to enjoy. From thermal waters and rivers to farmland and historic towns oozing with charm, there’s a little bit of something for every traveller in eastern Slovenia. Filled with varying soothing hues of blue toned decor, this gorgeous, sea-inspired suite is located at an eco-friendly spa property and can accommodate two guests. All stays include breakfast and use of the property’s spa and recreation room. 8. SPECTACULAR SAFARI TENT AT AWARD WINNING SPA
In eastern Slovenia, near the border with Croatia, you’ll find this family friendly glamping accommodation. These safari tents are next door to the award winning Terme Olimia Spa which is considered one of the best in Europe. In addition the kids will love Aqualuna, the waterpark which is also located next door! The safari tents are tastefully decorated with modern conveniences and everything is provided to ensure your stay will be nothing but perfect.
9. UNIQUE TREE HOUSES ON LAKE BLED
Experience true fairytale in these enchanted tree houses. The exterior is simple, while the interior is stylish, and designed for comfort and relaxation. In addition to the tea kitchen, there are also two sleeping rooms on two floors and a hammock for climbing, swinging or relaxing. Enjoying morning coffee or dinner by the lantern on the balcony of the magical tree house is an unforgettable experience. You’ll be amazed by the wonder of staying in these incredible tree houses. The Honeymoon Tree house is truly unique, because it’s the only tree house through which trunks of trees are growing – romantic, adventurous and exclusive. The tree houses are connected by a system of wooden and suspension bridges.
10. STONE WALLED A-FRAME CABIN NEAR LJUBLJANA
The wooden interior of this A-frame cabin near Ljubljana, Slovenia, endows this glamping accommodation with rustic charm. Guests are invited to enjoy the luxuries of their own private Jacuzzi and soft bathrobes. Glass doors open onto a private terrace, from which the stunning alpine landscape of the Logur Valley can be enjoyed. There is also an outdoor seating area for al fresco dining. The accommodation is stylishly furnished with an LCD TV, Wi-Fi, and a traditional fireplace providing warmth in the snowy winter months. The property combines cutting-edge modern architecture with traditional features and beautiful lighting.
