Sails Port Macquarie by Rydges has recently completed their amazing renovations and now offers the most luxurious, stylish accommodation in the region. Sails is located on the Hastings River and is a short 10 minute stroll along the waterfront into the Port Macquarie CBD and beaches. It’s ideally located across from one of the town’s main shopping centres and offers guests free parking. The hotel has 92 stunning, renovated rooms and suites, most with terraces or balconies. We spent two nights in one of the stunning renovated Water View Suites. Our suite featured a wonderfully comfortable Rydges Dream King Bed and two Rydges Dream King Single Beds. The suite was wonderfully spacious and the perfect size for a family holiday. We particularly loved the room layout and size, with a separate lounge area with flat screen TV (and foxtel)!
The rooms and suites at Sails are stylish, with beautiful coastal decor and high quality furnishings. In addition the rooms have all the luxury mod-cons and facilities you need for a perfect vacation including heating and air conditioning, ceiling fans, media HUB, free Wi-Fi, phone, tea and coffee making facilities, an iron and ironing board, clock radio, mini bar and desk.
Our ensuite bathroom was stylish, modern and spacious with indulgent toiletries, hairdryer and a large wardrobe (because who doesn’t love to unpack on holidays)!
One of my favourite parts of our incredible suite was the incredible views from our room and balcony! The Water View Suites at Sails feature unbeatable views over the Hastings River, marina or pool and we were lucky enough to have a room with views of the Hastings River and the beautiful pool. There is no doubt that Sails have the best location in town and visitors to this luxurious hotel will truly be able to experience some of the best views in beautiful Port Macquarie.
When we travel we love to catch as many sunrises and sunsets as possible. We were blessed with breathtakingly beautiful sunsets and sunrises during our weekend at Sails and I’d recommend anyone staying at the hotel try and experience a sunrise or sunset over the beautiful Hastings River for themselves.
The hotel grounds are beautifully landscaped and compliment the stunning Hamptons style architecture of the hotel. Visitors to the hotel will love exploring the grounds and soaking up the stunning views of the river and marina.
The outdoor swimming pool and heated spa overlook the natural beauty of the Hastings River and are surrounded by lush tropical landscaping. We spent many hours swimming in the pool, soaking in the spa, relaxing in the poolside cabanas and sunbaking on the deck chairs. The pool is huge and there is enough space and deckchairs that the pool area would never feel crowded, even during the height of summer! It is a tropical oasis, complete with a beautiful waterfall!
Guests can enjoy the private jetty and make the most of their beautiful waterfront location by hiring canoes and paddle boards from the hotel! Sails have really thought of everything to ensure their guests have the perfect holiday!
The Boathouse Bar & Restaurant has also been renovated in the stylish Hamptons design and combined with the stunning marina views and mouthwatering menus, it is without a doubt Port Macquarie’s hottest new venue! During our stay at the hotel we enjoyed breakfast at The Boathouse and have shared our experiences over on Discover Port Macquarie’s Blog: Hamptons vibe at the new Boathouse Restaurant and Bar. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, food, views and service at The Boathouse and would highly recommend booking a table to try it for yourself!
