The First Coastal Walk of Summer

Summer finally feels like it is here and we are soaking up as much sunshine as we can before we head off to Europe for five weeks. One of our favourite things to do in our hometown of Port Macquarie is the coastal walk along the beautiful beaches in our region. The coastal walk stretches for 9km from Lighthouse Beach to the Hastings River and passes through rainforest, along sandy beaches and along stunning coastal headlands. It was a beautiful sunny day when we did the walk a few weeks ago and we just couldn’t help but share some snaps of this beautiful walk!

People travel for many different reasons, and for many it is the pure love of experiencing new foods! One of the best ways to experience a new culture is through the local food. Food is a huge part of the culture of a country and to us, one of the most memorable parts of our travels is trying local foods, from street level, to family owned restaurants and all the way to top end restaurants. Our travels have taken us on adventures through six continents and along the way our taste buds have developed as we’ve indulged in the incredible local cuisines of the countries we have visited. Here is a roundup of some of our favourite cuisines from around the world, some of which I am sure are yours too!

Thousands of people were killed, dozens of holiday resorts were destroyed, and the region’s tourism industry took more than a decade to rebuild. Fortunately, the natural beauty of Khao Lak was preserved and tens of thousands of visitors are returning to explore its attractions. If you are looking for the best day trips from your holiday base in Khao Lak, here are our top picks.

Meet Joe, Our German Shepherd Rescue Dog

A few months ago our family of two became a family of three. We adopted Joe, a beautiful German Shepherd rescue dog. We are both dog lovers and have been wanting to get a dog since we moved back to Australia but were waiting until we’d purchased and moved into our own home. We became home owners in March and Joe joined our family in July.

A New Zealand Winter Roadtrip with JUCY

New Zealand is a beautiful country at anytime of the year and is even more magical in winter. Winter is the low season so you won’t need to share its beauty and tourist destinations with others, prices are more affordable and everything is more beautiful with a dusting of snow! We headed over the ditch to New Zealand’s South Island for Dan’s 30th Birthday and spent 10 days exploring in our wonderful JUCY campervan! In our opinion, winter is the best time to visit this stunning country and a campervan gives you the freedom to see it from the comfort of you own travelling home!
